It's primary role is to distribute just under $70 milllion per annum to content creators and platforms for the production and distribution of Māori content. We support creativity, innovation and excellence and strive to do that in a transparent and equitable manner, maintaining systems and processes that are robust yet responsive.

Tasks and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Kaitohutohu Ārahi Kaupapa - Content Advisor to contribute to the revitalisation of te reo Māori by working with our Head of Content, content creators and platforms to guide the creation of a diverse range of innovative and engaging Māori content for distribution on multiple platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

• Significant experience in content creation and an understanding of language planning;
• Confidence in te ao Māori, including a high level of fluency in te reo Māori;
• An understanding of the need for transparent public funding and reporting processes.
