On Saturday 3rd February, Te Rā o te Raukura cultural festival was hosted at Te Whiti Park in Waiwhetū. The festival included "Haka in the Park", Wellingtons Regional Kapa Haka Competition on the same day. A great day of entertainment which featured music, kapa haka, hauora, kai, expo's and more.
For those who couldn't attend the event, a livestream was made available by local iwi radio station Atiawa Toa FM.
Of the nine performances, three rōpū were chosen to represent the rohe at next year's Te Matatini Kapa Haka event in Wellington:
