Te Māngai Pāho is seeking innovative new approaches to getting high quality Māori language content in front of Māori language audiences especially rangatahi, tomorrow’s speakers of te reo Māori.
This RFP seeks to explore new alternatives to the traditional funding models that Te Māngai Pāho has operated. There is no prescription as to what the funding under this RFP may be used for other than it must produce measurable Māori language outcomes.
Although the funding may be used to produce content, stage an event, build a platform, or any other activity that will produce significant Māori language outcomes, this should not be regarded as increasing the pool of funding available for ‘business as usual’ activities. With this initiative, Te Māngai Pāho is looking to fund bold new ideas that will help us to explore new approaches that support a collective shift to the emerging world of new media.
